Hello Shopping and the Vendors

Hello Shopping is online store that sells products on behalf of its vendors and brands. Essentially it is a e-commerce platform like Etsy, Takealot or Amazon. All orders are fulfilled by Hello Shopping.

How to Shop on this Website

Browse products by categories or brands and using the search bar. Add products to cart. Once all products are chosen, navigate to the cart and select 'check out'. Input your address, select payment method. On completion of a successful payment, you will receive email confirmation.

Product Policy

The focus of the product selection on this website is that products are sourced and made in South Africa. Where possible this includes base materials. The emphasis is on hand crafted and artisanal products but we do not stock these exclusively.

If products are organic, vegan, cruelty-free or have any special features of this kind, these will be mentioned in the product description.

Products that are second-hand, vintage or antique are bought with the understanding that they are sold 'voetstoots'.

Every effort is taken to represent products properly and to price items fairly.

Shipping and Delivery

Items are either hand delivered, sent via regular South African post, sent from one Postnet to another or with our chosen courier.

Hand delivery: products to be delivered to Franschhoek, Paarl or Stellenbosch will be hand delivered for free. These deliveries are conducted on a Monday and Thursday.
Note: We insist that food items be delivered by hand. Any food items sent by post or courier are accepted with the understanding that the journey could affect the product in some way.

South African Post: This method is only used on request of the customer and Hello Shopping relinquishes all risk of ensuring that the item reaches the destination.

Postnet to Postnet: For a standard fee, the package can be sent to a Postnet of your choosing.

Courier: A standard rate courier service is used and can take up to a week for a package to arrive.

Stock and Back Ordering

Low stock is indicted on the website. Low stock, out of stock and 'made-to-order' items can be ordered. A notification will be sent to your given details when the item comes into stock again.

Made-to-order items are bought on the understanding that there is a lead-time involved in manufacturing the item and this must be taken into consideration when purchasing the item.


Returns are accepted for 7 days after receipt of products, with shipping being at the expense of the customer. Drop-offs in the Western Cape are also an option. Please contact us should you have any problems or questions regarding your products.

We represent many different products from different brands and where possible we will get feedback directly from the suppliers to answer any questions.

Covid-19 and International Orders

Due to the current global Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic we are taking every precaution possible in the sourcing, packing and delivering our products. Similarly, our vendors are using the highest possible standards of hygiene in making and packaging their products.

Due to the cost and logistics of delivery involved in sending products abroad, no packages will be sent anywhere outside of South Africa.
